Delete your Magnate account

This applies to Magnate (space.magnateworld.game), the same account whether you play on Android or in a browser.

How to delete it

1. Open Magnate — on your phone, or at game.magnateworld.space.
2. Sign in, then open Settings.
3. Choose Delete account and confirm with your password.

The password is asked for on purpose: this is a one-way door, and a signed-in session on a borrowed phone should not be enough to open it. There is no undo, no grace period and no copy kept aside.

What is deleted

Immediately, and permanently:

• the account itself — your email address, username, display name, language preference, and the hash your password was stored as;
• every saved life and its version history;
• the summaries of lives you finished;
• anything you wrote to us from inside the game;
• error reports and usage events belonging to the account;
• your sessions, and every sign-in token — you are signed out everywhere.

What is not deleted, and for how long

• One server log line recording that an account was deleted, with the username it had. It is how we can answer "was this account deleted, or did it break?" — it is removed automatically after 30 days.
• Backups taken before the deletion rotate out on their own schedule shortly afterwards. They are not readable from the running service.
• The Android tester list on this website is separate. If you signed up here to be told when the Android app opens, that address lives on a different database and deleting your game account does not remove it. Write to info@magnateworld.space and it is removed.

If you cannot sign in

Write to info@magnateworld.space from the address the account uses, and ask for it to be deleted. If you have lost access to that address too, say so and we will work out another way to establish it was yours.

If you want a copy first

Settings → Export my data, in the same screen, hands you everything the account holds. Do that before deleting, not after — afterwards there is nothing left to export.
